Pray for Pete Today?

Update: Pete is doing better. The doctors have diagnosed him with yet another bout of pneumonia, but he is feeling better, and fighting off the infection. He is no longer experiencing the severe pain and he is slowly regaining his strength. He will be in the hospital for a little while longer, but he is in much better shape. Thank you for praying!

Today I was supposed to be sharing a little more about my recent fall down the stairs, but life has kind of gotten in the way of that…

Many of you know that Theresa and I moved to Long Island two years ago to care for Pete, my father-in-law. Yesterday we took Pete to the hospital because his cancer was causing a great deal of pain and weakness. As of midnight, he was resting comfortably (morphine does that), and receiving fluids.

Would you mind taking a minute to pray for Pete? Pray for his health, for the doctors who are caring for him, and for Theresa and her brother as they walk through this with him. Pray for both his physical and spiritual health through this ordeal.

I will. my Father, unfortunately passed away when I was 18 for liver cancer. I didn’t know what the cancer is when I was 18. And I wasn’t a Christian. Lord bless Pete and Lord will prepare the way for Pete. God is the biggest supporter of us. I will pray.
