Ministry Tool Box: Online Collaboration

In this edition of the Ministry Tool Box we welcome back Brandon Moore, from Speak. Today, he is sharing about a great online tool that enables churches, and church planting teams to easily collaborate on projects.
How does your team collaborate to get projects completed? If you’re like most teams, your projects have a list of tasks and objectives that need to be completed. Having these projects organized, and organizing tasks on a collaborative workspace will help to make it easier to accomplish your project in an efficient manner.
One of the best and most versatile platforms for online collaboration that I have encountered is Podio. This is a social working platform that gives you the ability to fully customize multiple workspaces to accomplish specific tasks.
Need a relationship management database? You got it.
Need a way to manage events and resources? You got it.
Need to keep track of your fundraising projects? You got it.
I could go on. But I won’t bore you. The point is, there are hundreds of applications that can be installed to your workspaces to accomplish nearly anything you, or your team, can think of. What makes this tool even more powerful is the ability to build customized applications that accomplish your goals… in other words: if they don’t have what you’re looking for, you can build it right there on their site. This is a powerful, flexible, tool.
It can be a little abstract to grasp exactly what it does, so take a look at this video to get a clearer understanding:
Tool: Podio
Cost: Free for up to 5 employees and 5 external members. $8 per user for a premium account with unlimited users.
Alternative: Basecamp
