I agree if the church has a stated mission, vision and values statement they can budget accordingly. An articulated mission and vision should be the focus in all decision making, particularly when it comes to spending the resources that God provides!

Right on point. I love the idea of connecting our church’s practices of using commodities to how well we can reach those around us. It is the way Christians lived 30 years ago. How can we get more money into the field, instead of our own comfort.
